Jim Shore, a Native of South Carolina, utilizes his skills as a portraitist, sculptor and folk artist to create his unique and creative collection for Enesco, called Heartwood Creek. His current collections combines tabletop and figurines to create a charming and innovative American country decor. A self-taught artist, Jim Shore worked as an engineer before turning his full attention to art. He has painted in a variety of media including watercolor and egg tempura, a technique made popular by artists Andrew Wyeth and Bob Timberlake. Jim has also perfected his technique in silver and gold-smithing, wood carving, stained glass, furniture making and sculpting in stone. Heartwood Creek is a collection that combines folk art appeal with authentic quilt designs to create delightful, colorful figurines and accessories. Each figurine is rich with intricate detail and tells an inviting story of warmth. Heartwood Creek is the perfect home decor item for yourself or to give as a gift. Though many believe the pieces are carved out of real wood, they are cast in resin and hand painted. Individually boxed. Jim Shore
